In the mid 60’ s we were living on a shoestring and had a very old Morris Minor. When the gearbox developed a major fault it was a disaster for us. Mick who not much more than 20 years old took it on himself to remove it, dismantle it and repair it ( all this in the road outside our house). After hours of very hard and dirty work and finally fitting it back in the car, he discovered a very small but very essential clip had been overlooked. We leave it to your imagination to fill in the words he used when he realised this. He then went through the whole painstaking procedure a second time. He wouldn’t accept any payment at all, for him we were family and that’s what families did for each other. For John, he was a brother in law in a million, a very special person. xxx
